Shift based role – (4 on 4 off shift pattern - Days & nights)

Do you want to be part of a value-added business where you can improve performance and results in a dedicated team? Then the position as Maintenance Technician at Arla Foods Ingredients, is the one for you.

How will you make an impact

You will be responsible for the performance and maintenance of the Ingredients Equipment. It is your goal to ensure that the equipment performance is at capacity and stable. Ensuring maintenance tasks are completed and delivering food safety, quality and a safe place to work. To achieve this, your natural focus is on pre-planned maintenance and you are driving continuous improvement initiatives, using all the experience and knowledge present in the team. Engaging with Operators and Team Leaders to actively contribute to the Ingredients OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency). Importantly you also complete risk assessments and standard maintenance procedures to ensure that we are always up to date, which will keep our quality, safety, hygiene and housekeeping.

You hold a certification for mechanical and/or electrical engineering and experience with automation would be beneficial. You have experience from a similar Engineering position, where you have combined mechanical, electrical and automation into fine-tuned improvements. It is essential that you have used LEAN tools. As an Engineering, you are committed and goal-oriented and with excellent communication skills, you can find solutions in problems and generate a dynamic cooperation across the team. You are a passionate about your work, and you understand how to apply your knowledge. You are focused on the day to day pre-planned maintenance, parts on stock and critical spares to ensure 24/7 operation. You are able to plan ahead, implementing improvements in a short time frame and avoiding break downs by pre-planned maintenance. You participate in projects to define the correct parts, design and requirements and take lead during commissioning to give a smooth transition into normal production. The position offers an exciting and challenging workday with excellent opportunities for development and all the necessary training will be given. Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance is an advantage

Our Taw Valley Creamery have been producing their award-winning cheeses since 1974. Our Taw Valley produces 30,000 tonnes of some of the UKs favourite cheeses including Cheddar, Red Leicester and Double Gloucester cheeses The Ingredients department at Arla Foods produces 18000 tons of permeate powder and 4000 tons of whey protein concentrate using membrane, evaporator and drying technology. Our customers use the products as ingredients in foods and have high demands for quality and food safety. Our raw material is based on whey, which is supplied as a bi-product from the quality cheeses made at Taw Valley.
