<p dir='ltr'><b>MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN (Night shift)</b></p> <p></p> <p dir='ltr'><b>Salary: £38,350 - £40,270 per annum plus a £4,000 shift allowance</b></p> <p dir='ltr'><b>Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 18:00 to 06:00</b></p> <p dir='ltr'><b>Location: Churchill Hospital, Oxford, OX3 7LE</b></p> <p></p> <p dir='ltr'>As Mechanical Technician you will be hands-on and responsible for the delivery of high-standard maintenance work on critical mechanical infrastructure. Your work will be crucial in minimising operational downtime and business disruption.</p> <p dir='ltr'></p> <p dir='ltr'><b>Main Responsibilities:</b></p> <ul> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'><b>Planned & Reactive Maintenance:</b>Deliver mechanical maintenance on essential systems, including pumps, air handling plant, and associated systems, as defined in the CAFM system or allocated by your Supervisor.</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'><b>Safety & Compliance:</b>Undertake all work to a high standard, maintaining a safe working environment and adhering strictly to all SLAs, KPIs, site policies, and Health and Safety rules.</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'><b>Fault Finding:</b>Respond promptly to defects, faults, and client requests, working with the team to identify root causes of breakdowns.</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'><b>Contractor Management:</b>Oversee and escort contractors as required, ensuring their work is completed satisfactorily in line with risk assessments and method statements.</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'><b>Record Keeping:</b>Maintain and update all necessary records, including logbooks for statutory inspections, and complete work orders within the designated time period using the mobile PDA device.</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'><b>Support & Improvement:</b>Actively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in service delivery and take a proactive role in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment.</p> </li> </ul><p dir='ltr'><b>Essential:</b></p> <ul> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>Possess detailed, hands-on knowledge of installed building engineering services (including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems).</p> </li> <li dir='ltr'> <p dir='ltr'>Hold a Mechanical NVQ/BTEC Level 2 (or equivalent).
