Job Summary

Based here in our facilities in East Cowes, the Maintenance Mechanic will be part of a small, close-knit team, responsible for all work activities associated with manufacturing production; this will include planned maintenance, reactive breakdown, response/ repairs, and work requests across a 24/5 shift pattern at site, executing a varied range of activities that protect the site and ensure capability for manufacturing teams to perform their duties, and limit any production stoppages.

Job Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities will include:

Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance and checks. Responds to breakdowns and diagnostic faults. Finding and repair of equipment/faults. Supervising engineering and technical staff. Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings. Installing pipework, valves, pumps and motors. Replacement of worn parts, resetting instrument controls, and cleaning of machinery

Job Qualifications

Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate the following:

Previous similar experience gained in an industrial (preferably manufacturing) environment; Educated to minimum Level 3 in either Engineering Maintenance, Mechanical Fitting, or Process Engineering Management Strong communication skills Dependable, reliable and willing to undertake shift/out of hours work when required
