Job Summary

Join GKN Aerospace as a Manufacturing Engineer, playing a key role in the development and industrialisation of cutting-edge Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) technology. Provide Manufacturing Engineering capability to operational and development programmes to enable and deliver zero defect projects. Adept at using engineering and problem solving skills, they will be accountable for delivering robust, capable manufacturing process technology as it applies to materials, tooling, part fabrication and assembly.

Job Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental policies, championing a safety-first mindset. Deliver technical support of manufacturing process development and integration for production tooling (manufacture and assembly) Maintain positive, team relationships with internal and external customers, as well as co-workers Continuously improve production processes by implementing Lean initiatives. Responsible for implementation, execution and adherence to product configuration management processes Implement Lean initiatives to continuously improve manufacturing processes. Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, ensuring seamless project execution.
Essential
Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering. Minimum 3 years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering within a regulated industry. Strong knowledge of quality systems (ISO9000, AS9100, or D1-9000). Experience in process planning, tooling design, materials selection, or quality engineering. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Desirable
Experience in Project/Program Management. Familiarity with AS9145 APQP processes or equivalent.
