Manufacturing Engineer in Derby to ensure the smooth running of the Robur cell in the MTC and support the agreed business deliverables. This role is predominately based at MTC with a requirement for regular travel to Bristol of a minimum of one day per month or as required to support programme needs. What you will be doing: To manage security of the cell in alignment with the approved processes including SyOps and movement of material and equipment. To be the on-site Responsible Person (RP), responsible for safety and ensuring RR personnel on site are complaint with the MTC/RR working practices. Oversee the installation, commissioning and production ramp up of new equipment/IT and additional facilities as required by the business. Support delivery of development components. Specifically, to be the point of contact to liaise with the MTC to secure the necessary resource/ equipment to support the RR programmes. Oversee the technical work packages that will be conducted in the cell and manage the load/capacity of the cell. Support the management of part movements in conjunction with the PDL Working with the relevant Process owners to support the development of methods of manufacture for each process to ensure a smooth transition into future facilities. This will include working with the Process Owners to develop, test and deploy TIs, quality standards to be used in the cell but later transferred to new facilities. The Process Owners/Technical Authority remains responsible for final approval of all TIs. To oversee the safe ramp-down and decommissioning and transfer of assets out of the MTC as require at the end of the programme. Position qualifications: Professionally Qualified Engineer (e.g. UK minimum HND/Foundation degree or other national equivalent). Recognised national or international engineering accreditation (e.g. UK IEng or CEng) where available. Demonstrated experience within Aerospace or other Engineering backgrounds. General awareness of Manufacturing Systems and enabling software tools used to develop and analyse manufacturing processes (e.g. CAD/CAM, Statistical Process Control). To start, you will require a minimum Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.
