As a Maths Tutor you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll instruct personnel to achieve their Level 3 Engineering Maths qualifications required for an Apprenticeship. Day to day, you’ll deliver classroom-based training, monitor, assess and test apprentices. You’ll keep up to date with any admin that is required and prepare personal instructional notes/aids, as required, from course instructional specifications and lesson plans. No prior training experience is required, just good communication skills and an understanding of mathematical principles and a willingness to be developed into the role.
Create and maintain an efficient work plan, practicing effective time management and cost effectiveness. Keep abreast of all changes to the Functional Skills program, keeping all stakeholders informed as necessary Instruct, monitor, assess and test apprentices at Level 3 Mathematics, utilising Babcock Training (MoD) instructional specifications and assessment procedures including testing to achieve the standards required by the Awarding Organizations Monitor student progress toward achievement and give feedback where appropriate Ensure all documentation used is accurate, completed on time and fulfils all contractual and statutory obligations. Ensure documentation is kept in a safe and secure area and is available for inspection or audit (internal or external)Essential experience of the Maths Tutor:
Good communication skills Be proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace
This is a full-time role based on site at Lyneham offering some hybrid working Qualifications for the Maths Tutor:
Level 4 Mathematics
Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service and CBL security clearance for this role.
