As a Cook at The Crescent, Middlesbrough.Approved Premises (APs) contribute to the effective risk management of people released from prison by providing an enhanced level of supervision, monitoring and rehabilitation within the community. The post will provide you experience of working with complex and vulnerable people and an understanding of residential setting within the Criminal Justice System. Join Sodexo and be part of something greater, youll belong toa team where you can act with purpose and thrive in your own way and aid the rebuilding of many lives, everyday.What youll do:To plan, prepare, cook and appropriately present meals to the residentsAbility to follow recipes well, and have a good experienceinvolume cookingTo ensure routine day to day as well as specialised cleaning of kitchen equipment, work surfaces, kitchen floors and storage areasTo ensure waste is controlled with regard to preparation and cookingTo maintain the highest standards of health, hygiene and safetyTo manage and control all food, to include; receiving and checking stock, checking equipment and materials are used correctly, closely monitoring portion control.To ensure that routine data is collected as required and that all daily checks, including temperature control during production, preparation, service and storage are carried out properly.To immediately report all accidents, near misses, damage or breakages to the Catering supervisorTo ensure that the Catering Department is opening and closed at the required times and secured when not in useTo undertake any other tasks appropriate with the duties and responsibilities of the postTo attend any relevant training sessions to ensure that you are fully equipped to perform your role effectivelyWhat we offer:Working with Sodexo is more than a job; its a chance to be part of something greater.
