This role offers a CUK09 level designation and is a permanent, full-time position, with the added benefit of a hybrid work model, allowing for up to two days of remote work.

Key Areas of Specialization:

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in one or more of the following critical areas:

  • Wireless Networking: Focusing on Aruba/Cisco wireless technologies, RF design, site surveys, and robust security protocols like WPA2/3 Enterprise, with integration into Network Access Control (NAC).
  • EVPN/VXLAN: In-depth knowledge of data center fabrics, MP-BGP, various route types, spine-leaf architecture, and network segmentation.
  • Network Access Control (NAC): Proficiency with solutions like Cisco ISE or Aruba ClearPass, including 802.1X/MAB, posture assessment, and guest/BYOD workflows.
  • Network Automation / NetDevOps: Practical experience with Python, Ansible/Nornir, CI/CD pipelines, Source of Truth platforms (Nautobot/NetBox), and vendor APIs.

As a Network & Communications Engineer, you will be instrumental in:

  • Providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) input to core networking technologies, supporting both operational needs and project delivery.
  • Acting as a technical lead for all Network & Communications initiatives, collaborating effectively with connectivity partners and third-party suppliers.
  • Proactively assessing and optimizing the Network & Communications infrastructure to drive continual service improvement.
  • Cultivating strong and productive business relationships across the organization.
  • Performing daily maintenance and upgrades for the infrastructure across ship and shore services.
  • Administering and configuring Palo Alto Firewalls and core network LAN/WAN components.
  • Developing and implementing innovative technical solutions utilizing a diverse range of technologies.
