Network Engineer

Foundever is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Engineer to join our team. This position will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing enterprise-level network infrastructure solutions to support the company's business needs. The Network Engineer will also be responsible for providing technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement enterprise network infrastructure solutions to support the company's business needs Lead and manage the deployment and management of network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers Troubleshoot complex network issues, including performance problems, security breaches, and connectivity issues Provide expert support for security (Firewall, VPN, IPS, Proxy) applications in a networking environment Provide Level 3 support for complex enterprise break/fix tasks Install, administer, and troubleshoot layer 2 and 3 switching (Cisco Catalyst, Nexus) and routing MPLS wide area technologies Understand and troubleshoot VPNs, Firewalls (Cisco ASA/Firepower, Checkpoint) Implement and manage F5 LTM/GTM/ASM solutions Implement and manage corporate Wireless networks Demonstrate practical experience with intelligent routing protocols BGP, IGP, OSPF Demonstrate practical understanding of VOIP/SIP Mentor and train junior network engineers in technology and processes Develop enterprise infrastructure designs and provide technical guidance to management and clients Collaborate with team members on large-scale projects to ensure the success of the organization's network infrastructure Communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Qualifications
Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in network engineering CCNP or CCIE certification with proven specialization in either voice or security CCDA or CCDP certification is a plus Check Point Firewall certification is a plus F5 certification is a plus Practical experience with fiber optic cabling standards (SMF, MMF, Copper) is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to work different shifts and extended hours Ability to travel up to 15% domestically Ability to lift 40lbs overhead Valid driver's license
Additional Skills that Would Be Beneficial
Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Citrix Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS and Azure Knowledge of automation tools, such as Ansible and Python Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Kubernetes and Docker Exposure to artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) for network optimization and security Experience with big data analytics for network performance and anomaly detection Knowledge of DevOps practices for efficient network management and deployment
