We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic PA/Administrator to join the Communications and Research Inclusion team at the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our mission to improve the nation’s health and care through world-class research.

Our research helps turn discoveries into new or improved treatments, diagnostics, medical technologies and services. It provides those working in the NHS, public health, global health and social care with the evidence they need to better support patients, the public and people who need care. 

About the role: 

The post holder will provide comprehensive, effective and efficient PA/administrative support to the Comms and Research Inclusion team and our team of Consultant Advisors. The key duties of this role are: 

Full Diary management  Arranging travel and accommodation when necessary Answering general queries  Managing regular external relationships Organising meetings and assisting with practical arrangements such as preparing/distributing agendas, setting up rooms and taking minutes 

Who are we looking for? 

We are looking for someone who is reliable and pragmatic in their approach to work. Some of the key attributes we are looking for are:  

Previous experience in a PA role may be advantageous Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Able to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative Organised with superb attention to detail Able to prioritise their work and mange across workflows Confident using Microsoft office software Experienced in diary management.  Able to maintain confidentiality
