At British Gas Business we are embarking on a large scale, multi - year transformation programme to underpin the delivery of our strategic objectives. About your role: We have an exciting opportunity for a PMO Analyst who will provide direct support at Portfolio, Programme and Project level. Critical outputs include pipeline coordination, planning, reporting, financial tracking & analysis, monitoring and reviews, quality assurance, risks and issues identification and management, change control, maintaining standards, PPM processes and methodologies. This position demands an individual with a sound understanding of PMO activity and structured methodology who can effectively listen, analyse, process then adapt their skill set to deliver the support required across a complex portfolio. You will work extensively with the wider Transformation Team supporting their decisions, maintaining the key risks, actions and issues. This is a great opportunity for an individual with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships whilst working closely with the key stakeholders and leaders across BGB and beyond. The role will provide the key analytical assurance and governance mechanisms to support a successful PMO whilst being able to shape its future by championing excellent standards and practices. ***This role is a hybrid working role with our preferred location being Leicester or Windsor with required occasional travel across other sites*** Here's what weâre looking for: Reporting: You will be at the heart of our project monitoring, creating dynamic dashboards and key reporting tools. Your analytical insights will illuminate project performance, resource utilisation, risks, and dependencies, uncovering opportunities for improvement. Quality Assurance & Performance Monitoring: Using the embedded PMO tools and methodologies, you will ensure quality and monitor KPIs. Your keen analysis and clear presentation of management information will drive performance improvements, as you work closely with project leads to identify trends and capture KPIs. Risk, Issue & Change Control: You will be key in establishing and monitoring risk, issue, and change-control processes. By liaising with project teams, you will ensure these processes are closed efficiently, while collating data at the portfolio level to understand trends. Standards, Processes & Methods: You will uphold and enhance PMO standards and processes, providing essential support and guidance on change delivery. Your continuous evaluation and enhancement of PMO processes will streamline portfolio management activities, improving efficiency and effectiveness. You will recommend best practices and contribute to the evolution of the PMO function. Planning & Resourcing: You are responsible for providing support in the development and maintenance of the high-level portfolio plan, managing and supporting resource allocation across programs and projects. By maintaining accurate records of resource demand, availability, and utilisation, you will highlight resource constraints and recommend necessary adjustments. You will support change prioritisation activities to ensure our stakeholders have trust in the outcomes Other Services: The role provides crucial administrative support for governance boards, portfolio/program/project setup and closure, and handle knowledge and information management, including lessons learned. Development: You will actively participate in defining, identifying, and delivering improvements to PMO services and standards, offering ad-hoc support to program managers as needed. Financial Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring the quality of tracking, reporting, and analysing total PMO analyst experience Microsoft suite, PMI , Prince2 , P3O, OWB, ServiceNow or equivalent PPM tool preferred Degree or equivalent experience Why should you apply?
