Job Description Job Title: PWR3 CTS Vessels Design Section Lead Working Pattern: Full Time Working location: Derby An opportunity has arisen for a Section Lead role in the Vessels and Installations (V&I) Design commodity, within the V&I Innovation Group. The PWR3 Coolant Treatment System (CTS) Vessels section is responsible for the design intent of the CTS vessels for Dreadnought Class and SSNA. Why Rolls-Royce? Responsibilities will include: Progression of the vessel designs for SSNA through future design maturity gates and, ultimately, Required-in-Yard dates to meet challenging SSNA build timescales. Working with multiple departments to balance conflicting requirements and opportunities as a result of the SSNA technology insertion. Maturing the Dreadnought vessel justification to support the next safety case gate and beyond. Working with Producibility and BAES to resolve Dreadnought Class manufacturing and build/commissioning issues, respectively. Technical coaching of staff and guiding their development. Effective project management of the team scope and setting and maintaining commitments. Maintain the Section L3 plan to feed into the department load vs. capacity position. Lead by example and champion continuous improvement and the company values and behaviours. Act as delegate for the Innovation Group Lead, as required.
