Your responsibilities will extend to handling crucial HMRC and pension reporting, as well as effectively responding to a variety of payroll queries. On the AR/AP side, you will manage the processing of AP invoices using the essential 3-way matching and proforma invoice methods. Supporting internal SOX auditing and external year-end reporting demonstrates the critical nature of this position within the finance function.

Advantages for Your Career Path:

  • Comprehensive Financial Exposure: This role provides hands-on experience across multiple core finance functions – payroll, AR, and AP. This breadth of exposure is invaluable for building a well-rounded finance career.
  • Growth and Development: Lear emphasizes providing opportunities for employees to grow. This position is a stepping stone to developing advanced financial skills and potentially moving into more specialized or supervisory roles within the finance department.
  • Impactful Contribution: You will be directly contributing to the operational efficiency of a leading global automotive company, ensuring accurate and timely financial processes.
  • Structured Processes: Experience with 3-way matching, GRNI reduction, and intercompany reconciliations are foundational skills that are highly sought after in the finance industry.
  • Auditing and Reporting Experience: Involvement in SOX audits and year-end reporting provides crucial exposure to compliance and external financial requirements.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

To thrive in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Essential Payroll Experience: Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing is a prerequisite.
  • Strong Excel Proficiency: Demonstrable skills in using Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs, are crucial for data analysis and reporting.
  • Financial Acumen: A solid understanding of basic financial statements will be beneficial.
  • Integrity: A high level of personal integrity is paramount, given the sensitive nature of financial data.
  • Organizational Skills: The ability to prioritize your workload effectively and consistently meet deadlines is essential for success.
