Placements Officer (ED

Job at University of Bath in Bath, Bath and North East Somerset, BA2

About the role

We are looking for a hardworking, ambitious individual to join the busy Placements team within our Faculty on a fixed-term basis until December 2025. 

You will support students from our Department of Economics.

This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis (minimum 0.6) to cover a period of maternity leave. The position is expected to be until December 2025, or the early return of the post holder.  

Placement Officers play a vital role in researching and developing opportunities to generate new placements at home and abroad, as well as maintaining positive relationships with current providers and partner institutions, ensuring that services are effective and adapt to changing circumstances. 

You will act as a point of contact for undergraduate and postgraduate students, staff, partners and employers, dealing with enquiries and providing guidance on applications. 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Excellent organisational skillsGood use of initiativeThe ability to multi-taskThe ability to prioritise a high workloadGood awareness of Employability within the Higher Education sector Strong communications skills and the ability to engage positively with students
