Are you a postgraduate research student at the University of Leeds? Are you interested in gaining some tutoring experience? Do you have a great knowledge of A-level maths and Statistics and great communication skills?
The Lifelong Learning Centre (LLC) works with mature and part-time undergraduate and foundation-year learners across the University, especially where this enables participation of people from groups that are under-represented in higher education. The foundation year programmes provide students with a stimulating and supportive environment in which to acquire knowledge and skills for progression to a range of degrees across the University. You will contribute to the broader academic support of students in the form of preparation of teaching material and the marking of assessed and/or non-assessed coursework and providing advice and support to students.
We are looking to recruit tutors with a specialism in maths and statistics who can support our students with workshops, one-to-one appointments, and drop-in sessions.
Please note that due to Home Office visa requirements, this role is not suitable for first-time Skilled Worker visa applicants. Information on other visa options is available at: https://www.gov.uk/browse/visas-immigration/work-visas
