Pre-Construction Manager

Pre-Construction Manager 

£45,000 to £60,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 5)  

Manchester City Centre, hybrid  

 

Were looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to join our property team at Co-op. In this role youll work in a hybrid way, splitting your time between home, office and site visits (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).  

 

Well look to you to make sure that all projects that come through to pre-construction are delivered to the latest safety standards, fit for our strategy and safe for our colleagues and communities. Youll lead the delivery of all enabling work and budget costing on projects or construction workstreams, providing support in the transition to our construction teams.  

 

What youll do 

Manage and deliver the activity for projects across the food, funeralcare and non-trading estates   Be responsible for supporting project and programme governance meetings with senior management, and reporting on your workstream  Make sure that the accurate risk, compliance, health and safety, and local authority planning procedures are in place   Input and quality check information in business cases, lead end to end delivery, and maintain costs throughout  Be accountable for making sure all projects are delivered to the latest safety standards and agreed ways of working  Advise relevant partners on any issues or inherent risks within their portfolio, proactively looking for solutions or alternate choices  Look for ways to continuously improve the way we deliver projects, and influencing future programmes to make sure we have the best engagement from conception to delivery 

This role would suit people who have 

 

Experience in construction delivery or previous pre-construction management  Good understanding of CDM regulations and obligations  Commercial acumen with a background of demonstrating commercial benefits   The ability to manage work demand in a fast-paced environment   Experience in managing and influencing key senior colleagues and external partners   The ability to analyse, interpret and draw key insights from data and being able to translate this for a non-technical audience
