We are involved in all marine and coastal sectors, from ports to offshore wind, flood risk management to marine habitat creation and restoration. We are looking for a Principal Geospatial Consultant to join our Team. Collaborating across our Environment, Survey, Maritime and Modelling Teams, this dual technical and strategic role involves delivering geospatial solutions on a wide range of marine projects as well as driving internal innovation.

You will play a key role in the development and implementation of a geospatial and digital services strategy, expanding geospatial capabilities across the business as well as identifying and implementing appropriate digital tools to manage geospatial data efficiently and effectively.

About you

You have excellent IT and geospatial skills which you can apply to a range of marine projects. You are a highly organised, proactive, collaborative and self-motivated individual, with excellent data analytical knowledge and engaging data presentation skills. You will have a strong commitment to sustainable development in the marine environment and keen to apply your expertise across a range of sectors.

You will have skills and experience in:

Strong technical analysis and cartographic skills Proven experience in geospatial best practice and standards Practical experience working with, managing and developing ArcGIS Online and AGOL tools and applications (Experience Builder, StoryMaps, dashboards, hub, mobile apps etc) Coding proficiency e.g. Python, ESRI Python APIs and ModelBuilder Geospatial business development and implementation Preparation and contribution to the proposal/tendering process Project management and delivery Excellent report writing, presentation and communication skills

Experience in the following would also be beneficial:

Training, mentoring and staff development Working in the marine environment Consultancy experience in infrastructure, and/ or built environment disciplines.

Experience/Qualifications

You will have a degree or postgraduate degree in GIS or a closely related subject At least eight years’ relevant (ideally marine) experience in a consultancy or regulatory background
