Hybrid – Solihull (3 days per week)

Full Time, Permanent

Are you an experienced Product Owner with a strong technical background and a passion for driving IT infrastructure strategies? Join Serco’s UK & Europe division as a Product Owner – Network, where you will define, plan, and deliver the vision for Serco’s network infrastructure products. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritise features, and guide development teams to ensure high-quality, reliable IT services that enable business productivity.

We are looking for a strategic leader with agile product delivery expertise, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement within our network services.

Main Responsibilities:

Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the network infrastructure. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into a prioritised product backlog. Work closely with development teams to deliver high-quality network solutions. Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure network products meet performance and reliability standards. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the network infrastructure. Ensure all network products adhere to security standards and compliance requirements. Oversee upgrade and patch management to maintain system integrity and performance. Work with the Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) team to track and manage network assets. Drive continuous improvement by refining processes and workflows. Act as an escalation point for complex technical incidents.

What You’ll Need:

Extensive experience in network engineering, infrastructure management, or product ownership. Strong knowledge of network topologies, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and switching protocols (STP, VLANs, Trunking). Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP), and load balancing technologies. Proficiency in ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management. Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in an Agile environment. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex technical challenges. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing technical and non-technical audiences. Experience in budget management and resource allocation. Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent are desirable.
