Production Operator - Stourton (Leeds, GB)

Filler and or Labelling, Packer operator following established processes to ensure delivery of operational targets - both individually and in collaboration with teams. The person should be positive, adaptable and flexible.

Key responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Quality

• Ensures a health and safety mindset, and safe working environment

• Contributes to a healthy and safe work environment

Operations

• Daily operation of container filling/labelling (Krones) or packing machinery safely and effi-ciently to produce top quality products

• Report and/or correct safety issues. Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and sur-roundings

• Perform quality inspections on materials and finished product. Quality checks to include, codes, seals and weights

• Responsible for proper and accurate product/package/code changes

• Perform all filling/labelling operator CIP duties and surface foaming with mechanical cleaning for all other areas in accordance with specified cleaning schedules

• Perform simple preventative maintenance, i.e clean, inspect, lubricate and tighten

• Monitor equipment and process performance and correct /raise issues before they become problems

Hygiene

• Works to minimize exposure to risks

• Applies Knowledge of Hygienic Design

Food Safety

• Applies procedures and instructions regarding Food Safety (HACCP)

Product knowledge and packaging

• Ensures what is pass/fail product, handling nonconforming product.

Educational back-ground/Experience

• Good communicator with ability to read and understand instructions

• Factory experience but not essential

• Previous experience in an FMCG or related company.

• Food hygiene certificate.

• NVQ level 2 or equivalent is desirable to demonstrate basic level of vocational learning ability.

• Experience of SAP process order management and automated data collection sys-tems i.e SCADA, OEE, SPC.
