Professional Placements Administrator

We are seeking to recruit a full-time Professional Placements Administrator to join our vital placements team within the School of Applied Sciences.

This is a busy and highly responsible role working within a supportive and well-established team, where you will be delivering the administration and organisation of Pharmacy students professional placements including liaising with placement providers and ensuring that we have sufficient placements for our students.  You will ensure that all administrative operations in support of professional placements comply with school, university and statutory processes and policies, are carried out effectively, and suggest amendments and improvements as necessary to meet changing requirements.

You will have extensive contact with students and staff at a variety of levels within the University, and external placement provider contacts, providing practical advice and up to date placement data, so a customer service focused approach is key to the success of this role.

To be effective in the role you will need: 

Administrative experience in a complex organisation Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build networks and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally The ability to work on own initiative and flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team High level analytical, organisation and problem-solving skills Working knowledge of using databases for recording data 

This role is full-time (37.0 hours per week), however we welcome applications from candidates seeking to job share. 

The role is eligible for agile working, meaning you could work from home for part of the week, to be arranged with your manager and after your initial training.
