The Natural Resources Institute (NRI) at the University of Greenwich, specialises in research, knowledge exchange and postgraduate training. We seek applications for an important strategic leadership role in NRI, namely:
A Professor and Associate Director for Research and Knowledge Exchange, responsible for developing and leading the implementation of NRI’s impactful and high-quality research and knowledge exchange (RKE) in line with the strategy of the Natural Resources Institute/University of Greenwich.
This senior leadership role is pivotal in aligning our efforts with the Sustainable Development Goals focusing on sustainable agriculture and environmental management, food security, and social equity.
We are looking for an inspiring leader, experienced in strategic planning and management of research and knowledge exchange. They will provide strategic guidance and mentoring to NRI’s three research centres and their leads and liaise with a wide range of research stakeholders and collaborators. They will have a strong research fund-raising record and good understanding of the research funding landscape. They will also be responsible for strategic development and overall management of NRI’s research infrastructure.
