This Project Manager will report to the Client Delivery Manager and will work within UKPN Services - Central Delivery Team based in our Elephant and Castle office. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of £80,574 and a bonus of 3%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) - 3 days in the office and 2 remote

Job Purpose
To project manage UKPN Services projects within the Central Delivery team (including substation installation, substation upgrades & cabling works) ensuring successful pre and post contract management of all projects on time, budget and safely to exceed the customer expectations. To complete project management through the full life cycle of the project from initial enquiry through to post investment appraisal following the UK Power Networks Services governance and control process.
Principal Accountabilities
Primary focus and commitment to Safety, the Stay Safe program, and general organisation principles of Safety, Health & Environment policy and practice. Monitor safety performance and compliance with the systems established to help maintain high safety standards in project delivery Project programme management to a high level of safety and quality To manage client project requirements and exceed in client delivery expectations Manage projects throughout their lifecycle from enquiry, through tender/quotation and on to completion following project processes Liaison with all disciplines within the UKPN Services Central Delivery team to provide an appropriate strategy to deliver a successful project and exceed client expectation Manage the financial control of projects, ensuring the prompt delivery of planned works and profit margins Ensure design and construction compliance following CDM regulation Contract management following NEC 3 or equivalent Manage workload. Take full responsibility and ownership of the success and quality of projects An understanding of HV and LV networks would be advantageous; A can do and customer friendly attitude is important Professional reporting and presentation to UK Power Networks senior management Produce and manage ITT with procurement activities
Qualifications
A HNC in Electrical Engineering (or similar) is the preferred requirement however, applications from candidates with a lesser qualification and a record of accomplishment in either project management or electrical distribution infrastructures (design or construction) would be welcomed.
Understanding of NRSWA / Street Works
NEBOSH
PRINCE2 or APM (PMQ)
An understanding and use of Microsoft Office packages Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Experience in HV, DC, LV, project works including DNO Networks, the London Underground environment and EV infrastructures.
Experience of the Project Governance and Control process and commercial awareness would be advantageous and team/people management experience.
Experience of Primavera planning package would be preferable.

Must be familiar with the safety legislation that is relevant to your post and comply with the necessary statutory requirements.
