Team/Role Overview

The Senior Project Lead is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.

What youll do

Be responsible for the day to day management of executing to milestones and budget on multiple complex projects.Identify stakeholders and key organizations in order to build and manage relationships with each.Direct the creation of multiple work projects and manage their alignment to business goals.Lead the facilitation, coordination, and arbitration of cross-functional macro level topics within/across projects and with Senior Management.Lead the identification and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established projects of work.Work with stakeholders to ensure project scope definition meets business objectives.Work with Project Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives.Drive adherence to project processes, procedures, methods, and standards for project delivery and leverage across the project.Assist project team in negotiating for resources owned by other departments in order ensure the project can be completed.Direct the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.Direct the identification of risks which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary. Escalate program risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate.Applies advanced and comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.Manage the execution to milestones and budget on multiple complex projectsAnalyse and check disclosure of interest data and if necessary, prepare DOI filings for review and submit filings to the appropriate regulatory body and/or other interested parties as required under relevant regulation.Escalate any issues or concerns identified and provide input on potential corrective action plans designed to address issues that are identified.Participate in ad-hoc requests, special projects and regulatory exams directed by other organizations within the compliance or legal departments.Oversee the monitoring to adherence to Citis Risk Policies and relevant proceduresPrepare, edit and maintain DOI program related materialsInteract and work with other areas within Citi, as necessaryKeep abreast of regulatory changes, new regulations and internal policy changes in order to further identify new key risk areas.

Extensive experience is a similar role in a fast-paced environmentWell-developed management skillsRelevant experience managing operational functionsA clear understanding of the firm's different businesses and the related economics is a mustAbility to influence and negotiate with senior leaders (across functions) and to communicate with external partiesRisk mindsetAnalytical skillsBachelors/University degree, Masters degree preferred
