ACHIEVE THE EXCEPTIONAL

JLR’s graduate programme is where your ambition meets automotive innovation. Learn from visionary industry experts, build your network and gain invaluable industry insight. Become integral to our future and build the exceptional career you deserve. Arrive with potential. Grow with freedom.

Your career starts here.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT GRADUATE PROGRAMME

JLR is on a journey, a journey to Reimagine. Our Reimagine strategy has set us on an exceptional journey of transformation, laying out a clear vision to become proud creators of modern luxury and become a carbon net zero business by 2039. Our work will set a new benchmark for luxury business in environmental, societal and community impact - and key to that is the way we deliver projects efficiently, on time and within budget.

As a Project Management graduate, you’ll have the opportunity to make an impact on a range of exciting projects across JLR. You’ll have access to some of the most innovative and visionary industry experts, networking opportunities and invaluable industry insight.

You could work within Vehicle Programmes, Enterprise Transformation, Information and Digital Technology (IDT) or our Business Excellence team. Along the way, you’ll gain a customer-centric view of how to satisfy evolving needs and accelerate delivery to reduce time-to-market, using Agile or Waterfall principles to transform the way we think and work.

The programme takes two years to complete and during that time, you’ll rotate through a variety of teams across the business. This exposure to different projects and key stakeholders means you can grow your network and expand your skills at the same time, building the exceptional long-term career you’ve proved you're capable of.

Below you can find out more about the teams you could be working in. The team you’re placed in will depend on your personal preferences and business needs.

VEHICLE PROGRAMMES TEAM (Gaydon)

Vehicle Programmes – We align and drive the enterprise to deliver programmes to quality, cost and time. Our team spans across Programme Management, Business Transformation to Vehicle and Unit Delivery. In short, we bring together a full enterprise of divisions within JLR to deliver the high-quality, modern luxury our customers have come to expect and love.

As a Project Management graduate, you’ll help support the integration of this enterprise - delivering commercially successful products on time, cost and to quality standards, and ensuring we fulfil our brand and customer promise throughout their lifecycles.

If you join this team, you’ll have the opportunity to rotate through a variety of placements both within and outside of Vehicle Programmes. You’ll use your innovation and creativity every day as you develop the skills you need to become a great leader. You’ll learn how to work in an Agile environment, improve your communication skills, and build relationships with key stakeholders around the business. Upon completion of your graduate programme and the experience gained through your placements, you may be suitable for roles such as Project Analyst, Scrum Master, and Project Planner.

With ongoing support from industry-leading experts, backed by continual learning opportunities, you’ll find working here as inspiring as the vehicles you’ll help to create.

ENTERPRISE TRANSFORMATION (Gaydon)

Our Enterprise Transformation team is responsible for delivering fundamental transformation across JLR to embed sustainable change and further strengthen our resilience. External headwinds are continually evolving; our transformation prepares for and responds to these. We deliver our transformation via ‘enterprise missions’; a number of cross-functional, complex, high impact topics and work with functions across the business to realise benefits, at pace.

As a graduate in this team, you’ll be at the forefront of driving transformational change across JLR. This role focuses on scoping, coordinating and delivering transformation initiatives that align with our enterprise missions. You will work cross-functionally to identify opportunities, solve problems, and accelerate value delivery through hands-on transformation activity alongside business leaders. You will develop analytical, project management and stakeholder management skills whilst gaining insights into how JLR operates both at a corporate level and within business functions.

Information & Digital Technology team (I&DT) (Gaydon and Whitley)

Join our Information & Digital Technology team (I&DT), where you'll help deliver and operate digital technologies that drive enterprise-wide transformation, optimisation, and affordability within JLR and the wider TATA ecosystem.

As a Project management graduate in IDT, you’ll support the coordination and delivery of digital projects across our HR, Finance, Sustainability, Partner Relationship Management (PRM) and wider corporate functions. You’ll help organise project activities, track progress, manage interdependencies and contribute to planning new initiatives that align with business strategy. Working with experienced colleagues, you’ll gain exposure to portfolio management, digital change, and cross‑functional collaboration, while helping maintain a clear, strategic view of ongoing and upcoming projects.

During your two years on this graduate programme, you’ll have the opportunity to rotate into different placements either within IDT or our wider organisation. Upon completion of your graduate programme and the experience gained through your placements, you may be suitable for roles such as in IDT Product or Programme areas.

BUSINESS EXCELLENCE - (Gaydon)

Our purpose is simple: together, we make excellence the standard in everything we do.

We help the business work more effectively by removing friction, simplifying processes, and making everyday life easier for our colleagues. By building consistency, quality and reliability, we ensure outcomes meet — and often exceed — expectations. And by focusing on what matters most, we enable JLR to accelerate delivery and realise value sooner.

As a Project Management graduate, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of impactful work across three core areas:

Focused Investment

Maximising enterprise value through strategic, insight‑led investment governance. You’ll work with teams to ensure that every investment decision maximises enterprise value and aligns with the company’s long‑term ambitions.

Revolutionising Delivery

Play a key role in how we deliver programmes with confidence, clarity and pace. You’ll help embed a culture of outcome driven delivery excellence, that empowers teams to execute critical initiatives consistently, collaboratively.

Enterprise Performance

Be part of transforming JLR’s end‑to‑end business processes into scalable, efficient and digitally enabled systems. This work drives measurable performance improvements and unlocks value across the organisation.

YOUR DEVELOPMENT

Our graduate programme is all about helping you grow and thrive. You’ll get to work with some of the brightest minds in the industry, build connections, and gain valuable insights that will set you up for success.

We’re here to support you every step of the way, both personally and professionally, so you can reach your full potential. As a graduate, you’ll join a bespoke learning programme designed and delivered in partnership with our external training partner, Ashorne Hill. You’ll build essential business skills, including resilience, decision making and problem solving, personal branding, and self-care. Plus, you’ll have dedicated off-the-job learning time and the ongoing support of our Early Careers Delivery team, who will be with you throughout your journey.

During the programme, you’ll sharpen your creative and strategic thinking, develop leadership skills, and contribute to key business projects. By the time you finish, you’ll be ready to make an impact and play a vital role in shaping the future of JLR.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

To join the Programme Management Graduate Programme, you’ll need to hold or be on track to achieve at least a 2.2 degree in any discipline.

We’re looking for someone with intermediate-level technical literacy, a passion for problem-solving, and the curiosity to understand business challenges and collaborate to deliver innovative solutions.

REWARDS AND BENEFITS

Our 2026 graduate programme salary is £32,000, with a £2,000 joining bonus to welcome you to JLR. After two years, you will progress from the graduate programme on a £39,000 salary.
