The Department of Professional Administrative Services comprises of a number of diverse teams which support the University of Worcester’s academic schools. This is an exciting and varied role which requires initiative, excellent attention to detail and the ability to adapt and prioritise workload effectively. The successful candidate will be a keen problem-solver, have the ability to adhere to and monitor compliance with financial processes and communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
The role involves overseeing and managing research and project budgets for the School, setting up and maintaining budget monitoring systems, providing advice on financial matters, reviewing financial processes and producing necessary reports. Candidates will also contribute to budget planning and reconciliation, raise invoices, process payroll claims and ensure compliance with financial regulations and GDPR whilst maintaining accurate financial records. Candidates will also be involved in other projects and areas of WBS activity commensurate with the role.
Candidates should possess strong digital capabilities and demonstrate a willingness to embrace positive change, promote consistency and share best practices.

The role is based at our University of Worcester City Campus. After the initial three-month training period, hybrid working is a possibility (typically 1-2 days per week).
