Python Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Python Cloud Engineer to join our Model Services Centre of Excellence (CoE) – ML Engineering Team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with QA, Business, Data, and Technology teams to enable the successful delivery of AI/ML models on AWS and Databricks platforms using a robust ML-Ops framework. You will play a key role in building an automated infrastructure/ framework that accelerates the development and deployment of ML models into production, driving operational efficiency and consistency across the model lifecycle.

To be successful as a Python Cloud Engineer, you should have:

Hands-on experience in working on AWS services – EC2, EBS, S3, RDS, Secrets Manager, lambda, CloudWatch & CloudFormationExtensive Python programming experience (PySpark, Pandas, data manipulation libraries)Building/ Testing/ Deploying ML models using ML-Ops framework

Other skills that would be useful in this role:

Proficiency in CI/CD processes with tools like GitLabExperience to AWS EKS/ Kubernetes/ ContainerizationExperience in working on Java & Spring Boot

You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, communication skills and interaction with a diverse range of stakeholders, as well as job-specific technical skills .

This role is based out of our Northampton office.

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organizations technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
