Job Description Quality Engineer Derby Full Time (9 month secondment - Maternity cover) Why Rolls- Royce? An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Rotatives area as a Quality Engineer. You will be part of our diverse and experienced services team within Rotatives and working towards weekly KPI-s and company targets. In this role you will implement and deliver the quality activities across the area. You will ensure compliance to Rolls- Royce processes, procedures and systems. What you will be doing: Governance of all Quality-related activity Being recognised as a point of contact for all Quality issues in the area Providing coaching and support to all team members when performing Quality actions Identifying opportunities to improve Quality and implementing plans to deliver that improvement Coordinating data reporting and sharing best practice across the area Liaise with all Support functions on behalf of the area for all Quality matters Who we are looking for: Strong experience of working in a quality, business improvement or Manufacturing Engineering role. Strong customer focus. Ability to effectively influence and challenge appropriately at all levels. Ability to lead cross-functional and multi-skilled teams is essential. Understanding how organisations work and ability to use both formal channels and informal networks to get things done. Self-management of time keeping, daily prioritising and focusing on Blue Chips is key to ensure basics are covered. The professional level and salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate but is anticipated to be Staff Grade SNBG 7-10. This job is advertised at the grades shown, and this is the desired operating level for this role. We encourage applications from candidates with relevant experience from any grade.
