Quality Controller 

£25,000 to £30,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6B) 

Field based North-West England, in this role youll work in a hybrid way splitting your time between home, visiting our Lee Green Depot, suppliers and our Support centre in Manchester (find out more about our hybrid working policy at https://jobs.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy ). 

 

Were looking for a Quality Controller to join our Co-op. In this role youll drive quality improvement throughout our chilled Own Brand products. When you come across a product thats not up to scratch, youll communicate clearly with our internal teams and suppliers and look to resolve issues quickly to maintain great quality for our customers. Youll need to have the confidence to challenge and make sure we always provide the best products for our customers and member-owners. 

 

What youll do

Make sure all Co-op Own Brand products comply with our standards and specifications  Look for ways to continuously improve to enhance quality performance  Build reports documenting product issues and communicate this to suppliers and internal teams including Product Development, Technical and Buying  Collaborate and clearly communicate with a wide range of suppliers and our internal teams  Monitor complaints and feedback on product quality standards, and report on any trends 

 

This role would suit people who have

Experience in a Quality Controller role either in food retail or manufacturing Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge where necessary  Good IT skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Excel and managing a variety of different systems  A keen eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills  The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
