Market Risk platform RiskFinder, utilizes large-scale distributed computing capability and Big Data technologies to process over 600 billion scenario points a day for Market & Credit Risk metrics, with dynamic aggregation capability across the raw scenarios to generate metrics such as Value-at-Risk (VaR), Expected Potential Exposure (EPE) and Portfolio Stress Scenarios. Most of these metrics have strict service-level agreements (SLA). As a Release Manager, you will be planning, coordinating, and managing platform wide agile releases to production, in regular cadence, ensuring production stability when releasing new capability. . Introduce quality toll gates to capture issues early to ensure defect leakage to final phase of testing is within the threshold. This would mean, healthy push back, as appropriate, if the release quality is compromised Improve the Software Development Life-Cycle operating model, in discussion with the tribes and leads, that will help to maintain the 2-week release cadence across the stack Manage release scope, review platform and testing concentration, and ensure the changes to production are vetted with respect to risk exposure via service validation and testing, fulfilling delivery standards/requirements, production stability and efficiencies Supervise the promotion path and deployment process, adhere to bank controls for promotion of the change from User Acceptance Testing to production and DR environments Drive automation and simplification of deployment and packaging processes (tools, scripts, production support instructions and post release validations). Use SAFe agile methodology to create backlog for improvement and explain the benefit hypothesis in the backlog prioritisation forum Ensure adherence to banks Risk & Control requirement as well as internal / external audit Your skills and experience Technical background and good knowledge of Unix and Windows operating systems and databases. Good understanding of development tools - TeamCity, Git, SonarQube etc. Good analytical, problem solving, and conflict management skills â a good team player. Experience in release management and production code deployment. Exceptional communication skills, fluent verbal and written English â ability to prepare and present problems and solutions to senior management and stakeholders. Managing risks & issues, with timely escalation, when needed.
