Job Description: Remote Lead Therapist (Accredited Senior Counsellor/Psychotherapist) Contract: Remote (UK based only) Permanent Salary: Competitive salary + fantastic benefits Part time and full time hours available: Minimum 4 days per week (30 hours per week). The role of the Clinical function and clinical community at large, is central to Bupa strategic success. The Lead Mental Health (MH) Therapist will provide clinical leadership and support to a team of MH Clinicians, working collaboratively with other members of the management and leadership team to ensure provision of high standards of clinical practice and customer service, while contributing to the achievement of key strategic objectives. How you’ll help us make health happen: Clinical Support Deliver regular mental health (MH) clinical sessions. Provide clinical input on feedback, complaints, incidents, and risks. Collaborate with clinical leadership to improve customer experience and NPS response rates. Oversee MH Therapies provision and support case management. Conduct clinical audits per schedule and implement clinical policies. Prepare for internal/external regulatory visits. Act as a clinical advisor and support point for staff. Support operations team in driving business and financial performance. Provide emergency clinical delivery when needed. Promote ConnectedCare culture and internal services. Be a trusted clinical voice with commitment to excellence and integrity. Communicate business and clinical updates to MH clinicians. Foster a positive culture aligned with company values. Encourage learning, CPD, and training for team members. Act as local contact for MH therapy queries and escalate when needed. Mentor and review clinical performance of MH team. Share best practices with other Lead MH Therapists. Participate in clinical meetings and approve study leave content. Support recruitment and induction of new MH clinicians. Monitor performance data and customer feedback; implement improvements. Collaborate on Pulse surveys and action plans. Assist with people management issues (performance, capability, conduct). Work on delegated projects (policy writing, audits, governance groups) Engage in incident reporting and investigations per policy. Support complaint management and escalate when necessary *full job description available upon request. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: Academic qualification in counselling/psychotherapy at Level 4 or above BACP Accreditation or equivalent (e.g. NCPS Accredited Professional Registrant, UKCP Registration) A minimum of 450 hours of supervised counselling practice At least 3 years of post-qualification counselling experience Experience of both short- and long-term work with clients, including working with complex presentations/working at depth Relevant training and experience in delivering therapy remotely via video/telephone.
