An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Assistant within the Academic Unit, Mental Health and Clinical Neurosciences working with Dr Blandine French on an ESRC funded project on assessing the economic cost of undiagnosed ADHD and/or autism. The project includes links with local healthcare services and the contribution to the Nottingham Neurodiversity Network. This post would be ideal for a PhD student who needs part-time work within their studies.
This project aims to apply ADHD/autism research in clinical settings and a keen interest in these conditions and their care pathways is essential. You will be joining the School of Medicine, which is located in the attractive Jubilee campus. You will undertake supervised research, which may include planning, preparing, setting up, conducting and recording the outcome of experiments and fieldwork, developing questionnaires and conducting surveys within the framework of an agreed programme.
You will have a degree or equivalent experience in psychology, medicine or relevant areas. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with clarity on complex information. You will have experience of engaging with different healthcare groups and sufficient breadth or depth of research methodologies and techniques to work in research area.

The post will be offered as a part-time (5 hours per week), fixed term position, available until 01/09/2026. Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
