We are recruiting Roadside Controllers to join the team, to help us as we expand our business due to the successful award of Greater Manchester Franchising contracts based in Middleton, Oldham, and Queens Road depots. This a permanent position that will work under the Operations Manager. You will be supervising the operation and performance of all routes within a defined geographical area including the supervision of drivers and other staff in the performance of their duties and to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective operation of Stagecoach bus services. You are on the front line, acting as a representative of the Company, dealing with the public and relevant statutory authorities and to assist as a contact and communications link with OCC, Head Office, Depots, Transport Officers, and other stakeholders. The principal duties and responsibilities are: - To measure and report on-road performance, identifying causes of poor performance. To ensure the effective control and regulation of bus services in accordance with contractual requirements. To liaise with the Depots, Head Office, stakeholders, and other statutory bodies To ensure the highest standards of operational discipline and customer service are maintained by drivers. To ensure that incidents and accidents are managed and reported and provide guidance and assistance at the scene.
