As a Stress Engineer – known internally as a Mechanical Integrity Engineer – you’ll be part of the team that ensures our products are safe, robust, and ready to perform in the world most demanding conditions. From analysing the mechanical behaviour of rotating components to exploring life predictions for engine parts, this role is where deep thinking meets practical application. This is a hands-on, learning-focused role where you’ll develop your understanding of real-world physics, cutting-edge digital modelling tools and critical systems that power everything from jet engines to defence platforms. You'll work with experienced engineers and be supported to grow your technical expertise, confidence and problem-solving skills. What you will be doing: You’ll have the opportunity to: Carry out mechanical design and stress analysis, helping ensure our designs meet rigorous performance and safety standards. Build and test predictive models for fatigue, fracture and dynamic loading - using real data to validate your findings. Learn how to evaluate the full life-cycle of critical engine components, from design through to operation. Collaborate with a range of engineering teams to solve technical challenges and improve future designs. Contribute to continuous improvement by learning and applying the latest tools, processes and methods. Who we’re looking for: Recently qualified Graduates with limited industry experience, but a passion for Engineering and drive to learn on the job. A degree (Bachelor or Master) in Engineering or a related field. An analytical mindset with a strong interest in materials, mechanics or structures. Curiosity, drive and the willingness to learn from data, experimentation and experienced peers. An awareness of modelling software (e.g. ANSYS or equivalent) is helpful, but we’ll support you in developing those skills further.
