Job Summary

Due to significant growth, three new roles have been created for semi-skilled Sealer/Cleaner/Polisher/Paint Touch Up Operators.

Based in our thriving East Cowes facilities, and reporting into one of our Team Leaders, you will be required to seal/clean/polish/paint touch up internal and external assemblies and sub-assemblies within the paint shop and/or out in the production areas, in jig.

Job Responsibilities

Depending on requirements and location within the company, to undertake one or more of the following examples:

Sealing Cleaning/preparing parts Part movement Painting (touch up) Polishing Part making parts to production order and drawing requirements Compliance with all GKN Aerospace health, safety and environmental policies, procedures and standards Compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements including export control regulations.

Job Qualifications

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:

Essential:

Experience of using small hand tools and ideally will have worked with gels and silicones in a previous role Good level of literacy and numeracy Displays a safety first mind-set at all times Effective communicator Ability to work effectively to deadlines and schedules Ability to accurately follow verbal and written instructions Works effectively within, and can adhere to standardised processes and/or work instructions Able to work both independently, or as part of a team. Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail To have the flexibility to work various shifts if required

Desirable:

Previous experience component sealing, polishing and part marking experience Aerospace and/or manufacturing experience. Experience of working within an organisation with a Lean /continuous improvement culture. Forklift/PED stacker licence (if applicable within department).
