Security Officer 3-month Fixed Term Contract

Serco Maritime Services have a great opportunity for a Security Officer to join the fantastic team in Greenock.

As a Security Officer, your role will be to provide high standard security services for HMNB Clyde, maintaining a safe and secure environment for all staff and visitors. The shift pattern for this role will be 4 days working, 4 days off, 4-night shifts working and 4 days off. Day shifts will start from 06:30am and finish at 18:30pm, and night shifts will then start from 18:30pm and finish at 06:30am.

We are seeking a dedicated, professional individual to join the team to provide excellent customer service and use their initiative to act accordingly.

Main Accountabilities:

Control traffic by operating electric barrier and directing drivers as and when required. Issue guest/contractor passes and make sure that each guest/contractor is accompanied by an employee before entering the facility. Record all vehicles entering and leaving premises (including Vehicle number plate, driver name and times). Record times of all employees entering and leaving premises. Patrol premises and secure doors, windows and other entrances. Maintain list of everyone on site for emergency purposes. Communicate any irregularities to management. Protect Company assets Monitor Alarm Systems and Security Cameras (includes checking fire alarms and actively participating in drills). Respond to alarms and emergencies. Follow established security protocols while using initiative and good judgment Any reasonable ad hoc task as directed by line management Provide excellent customer service

What you’ll need to do the role:

Knowledge of Security Operations and Procedure SIA Licence / CCTV Good standard of education Must be able to obtain Home Office Security Clearance Good Customer Service skills
