Self-Healing Decision Architect

The Decision Architect is tasked with spearheading digital tools and methods to enhance AstraZeneca's supply chain efficiency. This role requires a blend of data analytical skills, AI/ML know-how and the ability to align IT strategies with business objectives, ensuring that digital solutions meet the needs of stakeholders.

This role has a global focus, addressing the digital and technological needs across AstraZenecas supply chain functions with an emphasis in Logistics.

Key Responsibilities

Algorithmic Development:

Lead the design and development of cutting-edge data-driven & digital algorithms for the agreed use cases to enhance supply chain processes and decision-making

Work with IT and data science teams to validate models and ensure they align with the programs goals and objectives.

Continuously refine algorithms based on performance data and feedback, ensuring they remain relevant and effective.

Integration Alignment:

Ensure seamless integration of data analysis & digital capabilities with AstraZenecas existing IT infrastructure and systems.

Collaborate with IT to design integration solutions that are secure, efficient, and capable of scaling with the business.

Conduct regular reviews of integration processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

Liaison Duties:

Act as the primary point of contact between the data science team and the IT department, ensuring a clear understanding of needs and priorities.

Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions between data & digital teams and IT professionals to foster collaboration and innovation.

Ensure that all digital initiatives support and enhance IT strategies, business requirements, and regulatory compliance.

Data Governance:

Adopt the Operations Data Office data governance standards to ensure the program complies and builds upon them

Monitor data usage and practices to ensure adherence to AstraZeneca's data governance policies.

Product Ownership:

Own decision intelligence tools for the Business Area (Network Planning or Logistics) such as Aera.

Essential Skills & Criteria

Extensive years of experience in digital or technology strategy within a large enterprise.Proficiency in digital tools and statistical software (e.g., Python, R, SQL) for data analysis and model development.

Significant experience in freight, Transport management, Warehousing or Logistics Management

Familiarity with AstraZeneca's IT systems and data frameworks.

Ability to work collaboratively with IT departments, aligning technical initiatives with strategic business goals.

Understanding of supply chain digital platforms and their integration within the business ecosystem.

Enginering, Business or alternative undergraduate degree

Data Science / ML certification

Desirable

Experience in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting, understanding industry-specific data challenges.

Expertise in developing data-driven & digital strategies and roadmaps.

MBA degree
