Key to our future Innovation and the development of high quality, innovative and cost-effective ice cream products is the ability to innovate at speed through the use of Digital Tools and Platforms. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to support the delivery of our Data and Modelling platform. The successful candidate will work closely with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure the platform meets business needs and drives value through data-driven insights, simulations, and analytical solutions. The position sits within the Ice Cream Global Research, Development & Innovation (RD&I) Team in Colworth, Sharnbrook, UK. The successful candidate will work as part of the Digital and Data Team and work collaboratively with people across a range of roles in RD&I including: Central IT and Software Developers, Data Science & Engineering Experts, Formulation and Ingredient Experts, Product Developers in Global and Regional Teams. It is an exciting opportunity to help shape the Ice Cream Digital landscape of the new Ice Cream Company. RESPONSIBILITIES • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document business requirements for the Data & Modelling platform. • Analyse the needs of end users to understand how digital capability/tools can support and elevate Ice Cream R&D efficiency • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and user stories. • Explore, analyse and define digital approaches across RD&I and embed Digital mindset. • Partner with data scientists, software engineers, business & data analysts and subject matter experts to design, develop, and implement data models, simulations, and tools with the end user needs and experience top of mind. • Develop and maintain documentation, including process flows, data dictionaries, and user guides. • Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and understanding. • Assist in the development and execution of test plans to ensure the quality and functionality of the platform. • Monitor and report on the performance and usage of the platform, providing recommendations for improvements. • Drive the delivery and adoption of the Ice Cream RD&I Digital Programme through Change Management practises. ALL ABOUT YOU Key Skills Relevant Experience & Qualifications: • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field. • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a data science, analytics, simulation or Datalake/data warehousing environment. • Strong understanding of data science concepts, methodologies, and tools. • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Databricks). • Experience with simulation modelling tools and techniques. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Proven experience in change management in a system or new way of working. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA). • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). • Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and simulation techniques.
