About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Lecturer to strengthen our research and education endeavours within the Department of Mechanical Engineering and in the Centre for Digital, Manufacturing and Design (dMaDe). Great design must start with understanding who the design is for, holistically, and you will bring additional expertise to our team in understanding how digital tools can enhance an inclusive design approach. 

You will:

Lead transdisciplinary research in the field of people-led digital manufacturing, at the intersection of technology, design, psychology and management.Embed people-led digital engineering and design aspects into our education offerings at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to foster innovative learning experiences that prepare students for the challenges of modern engineering.Supervise and mentor research students, fostering their academic and professional growth.Engage with industry and community partners to enhance the relevance and impact of our research and programmes.

You will join a high-performing Faculty, filled with the ambition to make the world a better place.

This position is offered on a full-time, open-ended basis.

About you

You will understand that change is inevitable and necessary, actively encouraging your team to adapt and evolve.
