As Senior Lecturer in Education, Mental Health and Wellbeing, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the leadership of existing externally funded research and external engagement activity with strategic partners across education, health and wellbeing and related fields. You will ensure that this work creates value and impact internally and externally, and your previous experience of leading and delivering externally funded projects will ensure you fulfil this alongside all other agreed deliverables of our current work. You will teach across a range of provision bringing your knowledge and expertise of Mental Health and Wellbeing in Education. You will take line management responsibility for other colleagues engaged in this activity and lead the development of new areas of income generating research, knowledge exchange and continuing professional development activity in association with our strategic partners.

You will also have a considerable track record of leading and managing strategic external partnerships, and of engaging in externally funded research, knowledge exchange, and continuing professional development. Successful experience of engaging partners in public engagement activities, with clear impact creation, is essential so you will need to draw upon your demonstrable ability to derive impact from your work to be successful in the role. You will have an established research profile in education, mental health and wellbeing and related fields, and have a track record of successfully engaging various external partners and stakeholders in these areas, including through successful competitive funding bids.
You will enrich our students’ experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and extensive experience of teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. You will have previous experience of successfully supervising doctoral students and other researchers, and of providing all students with a high-quality learning experience resulting in excellent graduate outcomes.
