Job Description JOB TITLE: Senior Manager of Global Outsourcing LOCATIONS: Edinburgh / London HOURS: Full-Time WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites About This Opportunity The Senior Manager of Global Outsourcing is responsible for managing and supervising the performance of our Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) divisions' outsourced suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services. This role requires advanced experience in managing suppliers globally, with a strong focus on governance, partner management, risk management, communication, process improvements, and service optimisation. You'll possess excellent leadership skills and the ability to drive critical initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Supplier Management: Lead and manage the performance of global suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and service level agreements (SLAs). Develop strong relationships with suppliers, including regular communication and addressing any concerns or issues. Governance and Risk Management: Develop and implement governance frameworks to monitor and control supplier performance, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with outsourcing arrangements. Organisational Change: Be responsible for and embed the organisational change process, communicate changes to relevant partners, and ensure that changes are implemented smoothly. Coordinate with various teams to handle transitions and minimize disruptions. Governance Activity Management: Ensure that governance activities are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures. Organise and lead governance meetings, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Supplier Performance Reviews: Regularly review supplier performance against the balanced scorecard. Facilitate performance review meetings, provide feedback to suppliers, and work with them to address any performance issues and drive continuous improvement. BCP and Stressed Exit Strategy Support: Assist in the development and execution of Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and stressed exit strategies. Identify critical processes, ensure that contingency plans are in place, create a BCP playbook, and conduct regular tests to ensure preparedness. BCB Supplier Assurance Support: Provide support for BCB supplier assurance activities by conducting audits, assessments, and reviews of supplier practices. Ensure that suppliers adhere to the required standards and address any non-compliance issues. What You'll Need Experience & Knowledge: Demonstrable experience in managing suppliers on a global scale, with a track record of successfully leading all aspects of complex outsourcing arrangements. Strong understanding of governance frameworks and able to develop and implement effective governance structures. Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks. Validated ability to drive initiatives to optimize service delivery and achieve high-quality outcomes. Proficiency in leading and embedding organisational change processes, communicating changes, and handling transitions. Experience in reviewing supplier performance, facilitating performance review meetings, and driving continuous improvement. Experience in audits, assessments, and reviews of supplier practices to ensure compliance. Knowledge of developing and implementing Business Continuity Plans and stressed exit strategies. Strong knowledge of the BCB business and the operational processes. Qualifications and Skills: Change or continuous improvement qualifications such as PRINCE2 or CI Blackbelt Excellent leadership and team management abilities. Excellent partner management and outstanding communication & interpersonal skills, to build and develop positive collaborative relationships with internal and external partners/suppliers. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
