At Stagecoach Arran we are looking for a flexible, self-motivated, friendly and reliable Skilled Mechanic to join our engineering team. We encourage you to work under your own initiative, but you should also enjoy working as part of a dedicated team. The successful applicant will work Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend work as and when required, 39 hours per week with an opportunity for overtime. The role includes the maintaining and repairing of our fleet to the highest standards as set out by both Stagecoach and DVSA, whilst maintaining Health and Safety standards at all times. All successful candidates will be subject to a company medical. Duties and Responsibilities Repairing and maintaining the Company fleet of vehicles to the highest standards Carrying out inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs Running roadside repairs as necessary Training and Qualifications PCV or HGV City & Guilds SVQ Level 3 BTEC NVQ Level 3 Commercial qualification desirable (Light vehicle will be considered) A few things you’ll need: You must have your own suitable tool kit A full UK Driving Licence is essential for this position – PCV/HGV is desirable.
