The role As a Signalling Installer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will support Network Rail and other rail industry customers in providing a safe, reliable and efficient rail network across Northern Ireland.
Day-to-day, you will assist the Senior Installers to ensure they achieve their roles in a safe manner. This will include servicing and repairing, assisting with new location cases, assisting with the train protection warning systems and automatic warning systems as well as reactive troubleshooting.
Undertake work as directed, ensuring acceptable productivity and workmanship of all team members which may include Agency / Sub-Contractors on site. Ensuring that all work complies with current quality and group / line standards. Ensure all work is carried out taking due cognisance of personal safety and safety of colleagues. Ensure all site operations are carried out, and in accordance with standards. Use power tools and portable plant where certified to do so. Deputise for Senior Installer as required.
This role is full time working 35 hours per week and is based on site at different locations across Northern Ireland.
Essential experience of the Signalling Installer
Considerable S&T work experience. Able to drive or willing to learn. Personal Track Safety (PTS). Good mechanical skills. Basic electrical knowledge. Ability to use hand and power tools.
