This role is part of the Business Engagement team, which encompasses various functions. The primary objective of this team is to enhance collaboration between the technical team and the global business units. About the Role : We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Asset Management (SAM) Manager to lead and optimize our organization software licensing, procurement, and compliance efforts. The SAM Manager will oversee the software lifecycle, ensure compliance with vendor agreements, mitigate risks, and drive cost efficiencies through effective management of software assets. This role is critical in maintaining compliance, minimizing legal and financial risks, and maximizing the value of our software investments. Key Responsibilities: Developing and implementing a comprehensive SAM strategy, ensuring effective software license utilization, compliance, and cost control. Maintaining an accurate inventory of software assets, managing compliance and risk, and optimizing costs. Collaborating with Procurement and Legal teams to negotiate software agreements, building relationships with vendors, and managing contracts. Identifying cost-saving opportunities, generating detailed reports, and providing recommendations for process improvements. Mentoring a team of SAM specialists, promoting alignment across departments, and driving awareness of SAM best practices. The specialist will also act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing strategic insights and facilitating regular stakeholder meetings. Requirement: Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)) are highly desirable. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in software asset management, IT asset management, or related fields. Proven track record of managing software compliance and licensing for enterprise-level organizations. Experience with SAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow). Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Strong knowledge of software licensing models (e.g., SaaS, perpetual, subscription, and cloud) Expertise in interpreting vendor licensing agreements (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle). Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in SAM tools and asset management software. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
