As the Solution Architect, you will oversee the Solution Architecture for Primarks integration microservices platform. Heres a flavour of your day-to-day: Create, review, and contribute to documentation and processes for the selection of new technology to support business objectives (RFI, RFP etc.)Review formal Requirements documents for new projects and provide feedback to the author on open questions and gaps.Use requirements to Design end to end solution for a project reflecting all domains: Process, Applications, Information / Data, Technology, Service, Integration and Security.Define the structure of a system, its interfaces, and the principles that guide its organization, software design and implementation; handle/mitigate technical risks. Create, review, and contribute to necessary documentation i.e., Solution Blueprints.Define as-is and future architecture design and get agreement on the required changes and transition states.Ensure and prove how functional and non-functional requirements are met by the proposed solution. Understand and facilitate alignment between business and IT prioritiesGet agreement to the design as documented in the solution blueprint. Bring Blueprint to appropriate Design Governance forums for approval. Communicate architecture to key stakeholders.Do low level design or engage specialist architects (e.g., security, infrastructure) – internal or external to prepare low level designs. Oversee Application Solution design work undertaken by the systems integrator ensuring that it will meet the requirements.What Youll Bring:Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular: Get an agreement to design from the Architecture Design AuthorityCollaborate with business partners and Technology personnel to design and develop solutionsCollaborating with delivery teams on implementation according to design, standards, and best practicesBuild effective relationships with subject matter experts, business stakeholders, and project leadership.Evident experience of working within a large-scale IT-enabled transformation programme. Solid understanding of the systems development lifecycleAble to analyse and understand complex and interconnected IT systemsCertification or demonstrable experience working with architectural methods such as TOGAF, FEAC or Zachman is desirable.
