Join us as an AVP Solution Architect within the Technology team and be a part of Integrated Financial Crime, a Group-wide Financial Crime Control Environment Enhancement Programme spanning multiple years. The Program benefits include being better able to meet the expectations of regulators, the simplification of client engagements through a re-design of infrastructure, and efficiency improvements through the adoption of advanced technologies. This is a great role for an experienced Solution Architect looking to progress his career or a seasoned Java software engineer looking to progress as a Solution architect.

To be successful as a Solution Architect within this team, you should have:

Proficiency in programming languages and software such as Java and DevOps or any alternative programming language, and database models/design.Proficiency in technical drawing and the ability to interpret technical designs and design patternsExcellent project and team management skills, attention to the details and previous working experience working in enterprise design deliveries.Experience in providing cloud native solution.Experience within the Finance or Banking domain

Some other highly valued skills may include:

Working experience in AWS cloud platform, Workflow management deliveries.Additional programming languages knowledge and middleware technologies is a plusDomain expertise in any of the Financial Crime or Compliance space.

This role will be based out of our Glasgow Campus.

Purpose of the role

To verify the accuracy, reliability, and soundness of the bank's analytical models by independently validating and assuring the quality of models.

Accountabilities

Development and implementation of validation plans for new and existing models.Preparation of model documentation that clearly explains the model's methodology, assumptions, limitations, and risks.Development and implementation of ongoing monitoring frameworks to ensure continued model accuracy and effectiveness, ensuring appropriate controls and governance in place.Analysis and assessment of the model's accuracy, performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Performing back testing and stress testing to assess model robustness under different conditions.
