We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent,full-time Strategic Credit Controller to join our Accounts Receivable teamat our Regional Office in Worksop. This is an office-based role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday and the working hours are 08.30 to 17.00.The aim of the role is to ensure G4S's outstanding debt is minimised and risks are identified, escalated, and resolved in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Chase customer payments in line with G4S payment terms to minimise bad debtEnsure all requests are completed and successfully resolved within the agreed service levelLook for process improvement opportunities for FSSC service deliveryWork on daily outbound phone targets set by the team leaderWork to individual and Business Unit Overdue Debt reduction targets and Cash CollectionWork on customer disputes to help minimise outstanding G4S debt and escalate to the appropriate Business ownersCreating and categorising outbound service requestsDrive weekly debt calls with Finance Business Partners and Directors on a weekly basis ensuring that any area of risk is flagged in a timely mannerDeliver induction and ongoing training for all staff in the Credit Control teams.Be a first point of escalation for team members on the issues that do not fall within standard process or guidanceDealing with escalated invoice queries and implementing payment plansAssist the Team Leader with input into the Monthly Cash Collection forecasting based on account and Business knowledge.Assist the Team Leader with providing monthly reporting to the team and BUs on Cash, Overdue debt position, SLAs, Targets or KPIsActively promote equality, diversity, and inclusion within the department whilst assisting management lead the team in a manner consistent with G4S principlesEssential Skills and Knowledge:
2+ years of Credit Control experienceStrong skills in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPointA good understanding of accounting systems and the interactions of ledgers within Accounts ReceivableExperience in dealing with problems relating to the management of debt such as non-payment of customer invoices requiring legal recourseExperience in managing complex customer credit portfolios is desirableExperience in developing and coaching team members to maximise potentialAn understanding of SAP and/or other Finance systems is desirableThe successful candidate will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vettingprocesses. These documents may include your passport, drivers license, utility bill (dated in the last 3 months),HMRC letter, original bank statements, an original payslip, your birth certificate, or a valid share code.
