This is an exciting opportunity for a Student Experience and Quality Coordinator to join the Biology Department within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
You will be responsible for coordinating teaching timetables across all Biology degree programmes, both undergraduate and postgraduate. This includes managing room bookings for teaching activities and liaising with the university’s Space Management Team, Programme Leaders, and academic staff to ensure a cohesive and accurate timetable delivery for students. A key aspect of the role involves making specific arrangements for Study Abroad (incoming and outgoing), Erasmus students, as well as those on placements and internships. In addition, you will collaborate with junior administrative staff to oversee the effective organisation and management of feedback systems.
You will oversee student engagement activities and communications, management of the Blackboard Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), timetabling, and quality assurance processes within the Biology department. This includes playing a key role in supporting assessment boards and related quality procedures. As a senior member of the Department’s Professional Support Services Team, you will also be expected to contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the student experience.
