ABOUT THE ROLE As a Team Leader within one of our Waitrose shops, you'll help our difference be felt by our customers on every visit, providing the Partner-led service and passion for food that our competitors can't compete with - passionate Partners serving food lovers. All the while helping to maximise on sales and profit. . Duties & Responsibilities: As Partners - members of the Partnership - it's our responsibility to ensure our success for the future. We proactively seek out opportunities to continuously improve the way we work, taking action to ensure the Partnership is efficient and we are all as productive as possible. It's an ethos each and every Partner works by and you'll carry into your own role too. The role of the Team Leader is to support shop Leadership teams to deliver operational and service excellence, by engaging, motivating and leading Partners to meet daily operational requirements. This will involve a range of tasks including the advising and serving of customers, moving and replenishing stock, carrying out housekeeping activities and handling cash and card transactions according to set procedures. You and your Partners may be expected to work in any area of the branch to support the wider team as required and to maintain the necessary business dress and hygiene standards. We are inviting applicants who wish to develop their career with Waitrose and to take on supervisory responsibilities within the operation after successfully completing training. Desired Experience, Skills & Qualifications: Experience in a customer facing selling or service environment . Closing Date: March 28, 2025 Pay: £12.71 Hourly Contract Type: Temporary Hours of Work: Full Time Work (Up to 37.5 hours per week) across seven days to include early starts, late finishes, evenings and rotational weekends.
