About the programme

Are you ready to be at the forefront of cutting-edge logistics and product support? Our Supportability Engineering Graduate Programme is designed to introduce you to high-integrity, complex engineering, and digitisation technologies. Over two years, you’ll experience the breadth of our work, from initial design to disposal, and be involved in managing the full product lifecycle.

You’ll develop your expertise in internationally recognised standards and gain practical experience in managing complex systems and technologies – whilst opening the door to a world of exciting career opportunities here at Babcock.

Supportability Engineering at Babcock

On this programme, you’ll build a comprehensive understanding of key areas of Supportability Engineering, including crafting and managing technical publications, mastering material management, delivering Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), and optimising maintenance planning. Additionally, you’ll develop preventive maintenance tasks and utilise data to drive performance improvements. As you progress through the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to specialise in one or more of these areas, allowing you to tailor your expertise to align with your career goals and interests.

The programme includes expert mentorship, participation in real-world projects, and networking opportunities with professionals who are shaping the future of logistics support. You’ll receive both practical and theoretical training, which will equip you with the qualifications, skills, and experience needed for a successful career in product support.

What you’ll need

You’ll need a degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) subject. Many of our early careers roles are subject to Security Clearance and Trade Control restrictions which may impact your eligibility based on place of birth, nationality, citizenship, or residency. For our early careers roles, you must be able to achieve BPSS and many of them require you to be eligible for Security Clearance.

Where you’ll be based

Places on our Supportability Engineering graduate programme for Autumn 2025 are available in our Nuclear sector in Bristol. We ask our graduates to be flexible as there is the potential to undertake placements in other locations during their programme.

Our business in Bristol is a key strategic partner to our customers — the Ministry of Defence (MOD) and the Royal Navy. We ensure that the UK Royal Navy goes to sea safely by sustaining the submarines with updates, design and documentation, upgrades and overhauls. We are developing innovative Operations Centres, technology insertion programmes, predictive data analytics and visualisation and training aids using games engine technologies.

Your home base will be in our Bristol office, but some of your placements may be at other sites.
