Your Role As a Sustainability Specialist, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing comprehensive sustainability strategies for urban projects. Your work will focus on integrating cutting-edge sustainable design principles, urban resilience approaches, and innovative environmental performance solutions across our urban development initiatives. What You Will Do Develop and execute comprehensive sustainability strategies for urban development projects Conduct advanced sustainability assessments including urban-scale carbon foot printing, climate resilience planning, and integrated environmental performance analysis Lead LEED Communities and LEED Cities certification processes, ensuring rigorous standards are met and exceeded Facilitate interdisciplinary workshops and client engagement sessions to develop and communicate sustainability strategies Perform detailed urban systems analysis, including energy, water, transportation, and ecological integration Develop and implement climate action and adaptation plans for urban environments Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate sustainability principles into urban design and planning Create detailed technical reports and presentations for stakeholders, including municipal authorities, developers, and community groups Conduct research on emerging urban sustainability technologies and methodologies Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for sustainability initiatives Track and analyse local and international urban sustainability regulations and incentive programs Your Qualifications Master's degree in Sustainable Urban Planning, Environmental Design, Urban Studies, or related field 8-12 years of post-graduate experience in urban sustainability, sustainable design, or related fields Proven track record of LEED Communities and LEED Cities certification management Advanced understanding of urban sustainability frameworks, climate resilience strategies, and integrated design principles Extensive experience in urban carbon foot printing and climate action planning Strong technical skills in urban systems analysis, including energy modelling, green infrastructure design, and ecological integration Demonstrated expertise in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) urban development strategies Advanced proficiency in sustainability assessment tools and data visualization software Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills Proven ability to develop and implement innovative sustainability programs Strong technical writing and presentation capabilities Experience in mentoring and developing sustainability professionals This role requires on-site presence in our London office.
